Game Of Thrones: 15 Theories Better Than What We Got
5. Tyrion's Deal With Cersei
From the moment Tyrion Lannister was born, he had always been hated by his sister. But by season eight, after the deaths of both Joffrey and Tywin, and Tyrion's defection to the Targaryen side of the war, Cersei wanted him dead like never before.
Season seven ended with the meeting between all parties to discuss putting the war for Westeros on hold while they came together to fight the army of the dead, but Dany and Cersei failed to come to an agreement. Before heading out of King's Landing however, Tyrion managed to get himself a one on one talk with Cersei.
He left with the word of his sister that the fight against the Night King would take precedence over the battle for the throne, but how had he done this? What could he have possibly said to his sister, or offered her in return for her promise?
However, Cersei later revealed her true intentions to Jaime, that she had no plans to put a stop to her side of the fighting, and Tyrion sailed away with a concerned, almost guilty look on his face.
This gave life to the theory that the Imp had betrayed his new Queen in favour of his true family, striking a deal with his sister while rediscovering his loyalty to the lion of Lannister, rather than to the Usurper from across the Narrow Sea.
