Game Of Thrones: 20 Awesome Characters Who Were TOTALLY Screwed Over

Margaery Tyrell, played beautifully by Natalie Dormer, was a fascinating character throughout her run on the show and nearly all of her story-line was right on-point. The issue was that it ended too soon.

She might've had the honour of going down in the Great Sept of Baelor explosion, which was one of the show's best ever set-pieces, but there was a sense that she still had a further part to play in this story and she really should've been kept around for at least a little while longer.

The Winds of Winter, the legendary tenth episode of season six (and, come to think of it, the final truly great episode in the show's run), is one of Game of Thrones' best episodes and this premature exit was more or less its biggest mistake.

What Should've Happened: Margaery should've been one of the only survivors of the Sept explosion (who'd got out just in time) and then she could've joined Daenerys, alongside her grandmother, to get revenge on Cersei for her brother and father's deaths.
