Game Of Thrones: 20 Awesome Characters Who Were TOTALLY Screwed Over
12. Bronn
Bronn is one of those characters who just shouldn't have worked. After all, he's just a cocky, self-serving sellsword. Nevertheless, he's great. He's an absolute charisma machine and a joy to watch every moment he's on-screen, but he wasn't well-used in the final season. At all.
In the first episode, he was given the task of killing Tyrion and Jaime by Cersei. Then, in episode four, he showed up in Winterfell (somehow getting past the entire army) and threatened the two brothers. Tyrion managed to talk him out of his mission by promising him Highgarden and he then... disappeared somewhere.
He returned in episode six as a member of the Small Council. He'd become Master of Coin, despite not being remotely qualified for this position.
He was made Lord of Highgarden and therefore finally the castle he'd always wanted, but he just didn't do anything here at all and he was very much a victim of season eight's messy writing.
What Should've Happened: Anything other than this frankly. Perhaps him dying for either Tyrion or Jaime (and therefore finally serving someone other than himself) would've been a nice end to a much-loved character.
