And that's when everything got very interesting. Tyrion discovered Shae, his lover, in his father's bed. She lunged with a knife, but he controlled the situation by strangling her. It was a heartbreaking end for Tyrion to have to endure, but he was all set to be triumphant. He promptly found Tywin Lannister in the toilet, and wasted no time in dispatching him with a crossbow. It changed the face of King's Landing and is largely responsible for the current plight of the Lannisters.
