Game Of Thrones: 5 Fan Theories Confirmed By Season 6 (And 5 That Were Bullsh*t)

2. The Mad Queen

This is one that really started gaining traction throughout Season 6, on account of all the evidence within the show. Cersei was shown to be increasingly desperate, and there were so many mentions of wildfire that the show was basically screaming it was going to happen.

That being said, the theory does actually pre-date the start of Season 6 (it appeared on Reddit last year, but there may be earlier examples). Fair play to the people who thought of it, because they managed to get the key detail spot-on.

Admittedly this suggests it'll take place after Cleganebowl, which isn't how it went down on the show, but it still captures the main part: Cersei using the wildfire to burn King's Landing, much like the Mad King Aerys tried to do, and bringing Jaime face-to-face with his kingslaying past.
