Littlefinger masterfully positions himself against the Kings Mother, using his knowledge of Sansa Starks current status - alive; in Winterfell; betrothed to Ramsay Bolton - to his supreme advantage, gaining the promise of being made Warden of the North if he can successfully use the Lords of the Vale to help him take Winterfell for the Lannisters.
