Game Of Thrones: The Winners & Losers In 'The Lion And The Rose'
1. Margaery Tyrell
Lady Margaery outlives her second husband and narrowly avoids what would have surely proved to be a nightmare consummation of her marriage to Joffrey. It's no wonder she looks a little anxious for most of the wedding feast, knowing what she has to look forward to. It's really the first time that we've seen her true feelings betray her expression. Generally, she has been seen to wear a mask of serenity or false enthusiasm in every scene that she has played up until now, but at the wedding feast, the subtle change in her character speaks volumes about her previous performances. Now that the hour has finally arrived, the true realisation of what she is getting into is beginning to leak through. For the most part, she still puts on a brave face, but there are times when she looks vacant and distant, as if wishing she could be anywhere else; and at other times, when Joffrey is being his usual, charming self, you see definite loathing and disgust. Fortunately for Margaery, Joffrey doesn't make it to their wedding bed, and we'll never know what tortures he would have made her endure. Her true victory though, is that she still gets to be Queen, simply by marrying Prince Tommen in Joffrey's place. Luckily for her, Tommen is described by those who know him as a "sweet boy". Honourable mention for the winners whoever was involved in getting Sigur Rós to play the Rains of Castamere. Click "next" below to get to the losers...
