Game Of Thrones: 7 Things That "The House Of Black And White" Did Right (And 3 It Didn't)

9. Cracks In King's Landing

Game of Thrones 502 Cersei
HBO

Even without Ser Kevan’s refusal to fall in line, Cersei’s regime in King’s Landing seems to be falling apart before it even establishes a foundation. As much as surrounding herself with pawns easily swayed and peers easily controlled will make Cersei’s solidification as ruling regent easier, the weak council will only harm the kingdom in the long run.

Mace Tyrell is no Littlefinger, Qyburn is no Varys, and Cersei is no Tywin. When the most sensible advisor to the king is Grand Maester Pycelle, it is only a matter of time before things fall apart. The cracks in control in King’s Landing promise to change the game in the capital as the Lannisters face a more significant threat than ever to their position. It was about time that the lions faced a threat to their den, and that the least capable of them all is in charge of protecting it guarantees some compelling action in King's Landing.

Besides, it’s never not funny to see Cersei work herself into a fury over Margaery Tyrell.
