Game Of Thrones: 8 Characters You Should Probably Hate (But Don't)

5. Theon Greyjoy

The awkwardly disastrous human being that is Theon Greyjoy went from underachieving surrogate Stark to contemptible little jerk in the course of just a few episodes, as the misguided twerp - sent on an important mission by his "brother" Robb Stark - decided to sell out the family who raised him in an ill-judged attempt to "man up." Well, it went super wrong for Theon, didn't it? And in his attempt to become something more than a fake Stark, the poor bugger ended up getting his d*ck cut off. Ouch. Because meeting Ramsay Snow was obviously the worst thing that could have ever happened to Theon; the Bastard Bolton's slow torture of this character damaged him to such psychological levels that he went from Theon Greyjoy to a lowly scab named "Reek." And yet, despite the fact that he was party responsible for the deaths of Robb and Catelyn Stark, and has spent the sum of two seasons as a pitiful worm of a character, it's hard not to root for Theon. You want to hate him, but he's too pathetic; he's too far gone. Redemption is exactly what he needs, and - for some reason - we all want to see him achieve it.
