Game Of Thrones: 8 Characters You Should Probably Hate (But Don't)

4. Petyre "Littlefinger" Baelish

Game of Throne's walking advert for the Machiavellian way, Lord Petrye "Littlefinger" Baelish - and his hilarious wandering accent - slips in and out of the show as he pleases, manipulating everyone and anyone... to the extent that nobody really knows whether or not this guy is actually any good, or all his luck just comes down to a matter of chance. As a result, Petrye Baelish has cemented himself as a enigmatic character of the highest order, and apparently has allegiances to nowhere or nobody. He's totally out for himself, which - in Westeros, at least - kind of makes sense? Still, it's hard to like somebody who doesn't care about anything... and yet somehow Littlefinger remains - for the most part - a very likeable bastard. That doesn't mean he hasn't done terrible things all the same. So whilst he did help to orchestrate Joffrey's death, he also betrayed Ned Stark, which is pretty unforgivable. Did everybody just forget that he screwed Ned Stark, arguably the nicest and most moral character the show ever had? Yes, apparently, because Littlefinger remains a fan favourite. He'd likely be detested if his scheming wasn't so delicious to watch.
