Game Of Thrones: 9 Awful Moments That Were Way Worse In The Books

7. Theon's Paedophile Uncles

The Iron Islands, the home our our serial noobatron, Theon Greyjoy, is pretty bland in the show. Its residents aren't any better and you're quickly aware that playing with a bag of needles could be more fun than living on the Iron Isles with these strange, grumpy, boring and pessimistic people, am I right? Well they definitely make up for it in the books. While they're all still pretty grumpy, they're very far from being boring. In the novels Theon's dad, Balon, is part of a big family feud involving his brothers Euron, Victarion, and Aeron, which all started because Euron bedded Victarion's wife. Then Victarion beat his own wife to death and so on. It's also implied that Euron (who will be portrayed by Pilou Asbæk in the new season), molested his younger brothers when Aeron Greyjoy has a traumatic dream which makes him think of the youngest brother, Urri, screaming and he automatically knows that Euron has come again.
