Game Of Thrones Ending: 12 Disturbing Implications You Probably Missed
6. What About Everyone Loyal To Dany?
The Ending
After we watch Dany become the "Mad Queen" - or at least lose herself to the devastation of her whole world being torn apart very quickly - she's killed, heart-breakingly by Jon and the Seven Kingdoms are seemingly saved. Jon is sent away, the Unsullied leave and Bran reigns alongside his Small Council, who set about rebuilding and ushering in a new period of peace and improved democracy.
But Wait...
But like, what about the literally thousands of people who are still loyal to Dany? Putting aside the magical self-conjuring Dothraki and Unsullied for a moment and the powerful allies who are appeased by Bran's coronation (Yara and Dorne), you have to make some allowances for the fact that the invading force was not the limit of Dany's following.
When she left for Westeros, Dany left behind more of the Dothraki and the Unsullied as well as Daario Naharis (and the Second Sons) as her peace-keeper in Meereen. How the hell is he going to react to the news that she's been killed by the lover who replaced him? That's surely going to sting enough to bring him looking for vengeance of some sort?
And then there's the people Dany liberated: countless people who were saved from tyrannical slavers who greeted Dany as a goddess. They now have no ruler and have a serious axe to grind with their cherished leader killed. You can't just sweep that under the carpet.
