Game Of Thrones: Every Episode Ranked From Worst To Best
52. First Of His Name (S4E5)

Written By: David Benioff & D.B. Weiss Directed By: Michelle MacLaren
All hail King Tommen, First of His Name. Tommen is crowned at the midway point of Season 4, which is just gradually moving into place, giving us a battle at Craster's Keep and the near-miss of Bran and Jon almost meeting each other again.
We also receive a rather crucial piece of information here: that it was Littlefinger who was responsible for killing Jon Arryn, setting in motion the events we call the game of thrones. Because of course it was Littlefinger.
51. High Sparrow (S5E3)

Written By: David Benioff & D.B. Weiss Directed By: Mark Mylod
As you might expect given the title, this is the episode that introduces us to the High Sparrow, who would become - with help from Jonathan Pryce's great performance - an overly-righteous, easily-detestable villain on the show.
His arrival, and conversation with Cersei (who at this point is hoping to get him on side) is the high point of a transitional episode, that also includes Margaery and Tommen consummating their marriage, Jorah kidnapping Tyrion, and Jon Snow beheading Janos Slynt, which is all kinds of satisfying.
