Game Of Thrones: Every Episode Ranked From Worst To Best
32. Mockingbird (S4E7)
Written By: David Benioff & D.B. Weiss Directed By: Alik Sakharov
Although not quite as great as the episodes surrounding it (this comes during the show's strongest stretch of episodes), this remains another entertaining episode, with a couple of standout moments.
We get the sheer delight of Littlefinger throwing Lysa through the Moon Door, Sansa slapping Robin (after he destroyed her snow-Winterfell), the Hound recounting to Arya the story of how his brother burned him as a child, and best of all, the return of Hot Pie. I mean, Oberyn telling Tyrion the story of visiting him as a baby, and declaring as his champion. But also, Hot Pie!
31. Second Sons (S3E8)
Written By: David Benioff & D.B. Weiss Directed By: Michelle MacLaren
Another one from that great Season 3 run, when the show was going full steam ahead to the Red Wedding, and while there's a lot of setup here (this is the episode directly before that one, after all) there's also a lot going on.
Sansa and Theon have Westeros' most miserable wedding (until Season 5 came along, anyway), Daario Naharis arrives on the scene (looking like Ed Skrein), Melisandre leeches on Gendry, and Sam kills a White Walker. It could've just passed time before episode 9, but instead we got an excellent wedding episode before the wedding episode.
