Undeniably one of the show's strongest, most persistent and brave characters, Catelyn Stark went through hell and then some. Watching her husband die, losing her children, seeing her eldest son and daughter-in-law betrayed and slain, Catelyn saw her family tore apart piece by piece before the Red Wedding claimed her as its final victim.
Her brutal and shocking journey was often hard to watch, but thanks to her emotional strength there was always hope that she'd be okay in the end. Her death, quick and cruel, still serves as one of the show's most heartbreaking scenes, ending the run of a truly great character.
