Game Of Thrones Prequel: 9 Reasons To Be Excited (& 1 To Be Concerned)

1. Ambitious, Epic, Long-Running Potential

The events of the show fit the above description, but only a few years have passed in Game of Thrones. The prequel, on the other hand, could be much more ambitious.

It depends on how they focus the story, but attempting to convey the Age of Heroes and the descent into the Long Night, along with studying mysteries of the east and showing how the White Walkers were created is a lot for one TV show to pack in. It's not something that happened in just a few years, but unfolded over millennia.

That's epic on a whole new scale, and should provide the meat for years of storytelling if this does get off the ground.
