Game Of Thrones Preview: What To Expect From Season Finale Mother's Mercy

10. Hand Of The Queen

In amongst the spectacle and excitement of Daenerys riding her dragon, what got slightly lost was the fact that she was essentially abandoning all those people who have served her and been loyal to her in Meereen. Daario, Missandei, the Unsullied, and now Tyrion and Jorah, all were left behind without a second thought. So the question back in Meereen is what do the Queensguard do when there is no Queen? We see in the teaser Tyrion, Jorah and Daario sitting on the steps of her throne room, likely lamenting this turn of events and trying to work out some sort of plan for what comes next - and presumably arguing over who rules Meereen in her absence. Hizdahr appears to be definitely dead, so there€™s the question of who is controlling the Sons of the Harpy, and figuring out not only the identity but how to stop them. We hear Tyrion exclaim €œyou betrayed her€ in the trailer - is this simply a part of the debate to be ruler (in which case he'd probably be speaking to Jorah), or is this the discovery of the leader of the Sons (if so, and Hizdahr is dead, then the only other candidate would seemingly be Daario)? Then there€™s still the issue of greyscale hanging over Jorah, which could well come into play before the season ends.
