Game of Thrones Season 3: 10 Characters Who Underwhelmed

9. Jon Snow

Jon Snow I realise that a good few female Thrones fans would probably scold me for even mentioning Kit Harrington€™s Jon Snow on a bad role list, but come on €“ behind those wavy locks, there wasn€™t much to Jon. He€™s all about his duty, but he quite likes getting it on with his wildling girlfriend. It€™s easy enough. The problem with him was that he was just too grim and stony-faced. He always looks like someone told him his dog died, and although he€™s supposed to be serious there€™s such a thing as a bit too much. After all, you can get sick of chocolate ice cream if you have too much of it. Jon€™s saving grace was that he had good scenes with Ygritte, with Rose Leslie giving his scenes a much-needed jolt. But frankly, Ygritte was so compelling as a character she could have lit up a room by herself, and most of the credit for the excellent break-up scene can be laid at her door. When Jon wasn€™t with her, the whole thing sort of fell down €“ his continuous arguments with Orell dragged slightly and he seemed to look confused all the time. I don€™t hold out much hope that he€™s going to be livening up Castle Black any time soon.
