If having red hair is enough make you the butt of jokes in Westeros and beyond, coming down with a touch of the greyscale will really set you back.

That’s the fate that befell Jorah Mormont when, while taking a shortcut through the ruins of Valyria, he successfully managed to fend off a handful of stone men and save Tyrion from drowning so that the Halfman could go back to drinking himself to death.

Greyscale, for those who need reminding, is a disease that can leave flesh stiff and turn the tongue and lips to stone, so for Jorah it’s a bit like being around long-time crush Daenerys. Alas, he was friend-zoned by the Mother of Dragons long before she learned that he’d been keeping Varys informed of her movements.

If Jorah’s hopes of getting back into Daenerys’s good books and, ideally, her pants by bringing in Tyrion was already a long shot, showing up looking like the Thing certainly won’t improve his odds.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
