Game Of Thrones Season 5: Ranking All Episodes Worst To Best

5. Episode 3 - High Sparrow

Outside of the final four episodes, Episode 3 High Sparrow was the best of the bunch, and was a fantastic episode buried in the slower start to the season. Sansa started playing the game as Baelish revealed the plan to marry her off to Ramsay, Jon turned down Stannis' impressive offer of becoming Lord of Winterfell and fully legitimising the Stark name, while the powerful High Sparrow is brought into the fold by Cersei. There's also a touching moment as Arya throws away her possessions to become 'nobody' though she spares needle from a watery drop, hiding the sword beneath stones for safe keeping. Of course, there's a ruthless, authoritative display from Jon at Castle Black as he executes the cowardly Janos Slynt, passing the sentence and swinging the sword himself, just like Ned Stark. Best Moment: Margaery and Cersei's ongoing feud is one of the most electric pairings in the show, with sparks flying every time they meet. This time, Margaery won, delivering some exquisite burns to Cersei: "I wish we had some wine for you, it's a bit early in the day for us." OUCH.
