Game Of Thrones Season 6: 12 Major Plot Hints From The Trailer
9. Margaery Will Be Forgiven
The sight of Margaery on her knees before the High Sparrow in the trailer seems to suggest that her difficult time may be coming to an end. Presumably, there'd have to be an almighty caveat, but there are two distinct possibilities that wouldn't diminish the High Sparrow's power or compromise his religious conviction. Firstly, there's a chance that Margaery is driven to desperation by her incarceration, and just as Cersei was offered penance at the end of season 5, she may be offered a pricey way out. If she gives up Loras' "secrets" and confirms that he was Renly Baratheon's lover, he will be inevitably be killed and she may be pardoned (at least partially). The other possibility is that the show follows the track of the books and the Tyrells are released into the custody of Randyll Tarly, who is set to debut in season 6. But that too would require some sort of confession by Margaery, and it feels more likely that Loras will be thrown under a bus as Margaery shows another layer to her resourcefulness.
