The Actor: Australian actress Essie Davis has been playing small parts in TV and film since the 90s, with her first major movie being The Matrix Reloaded. Since then she's had roles in the likes of Australia and Legend of the Guardians, but it was last year that she really came to everyone's attention.

That saw her star in horror film The Babadook, for which she received a lot of critical acclaim, in the end being nominated for Best Newcomer at the Empire Awards, and Best Actress by the US Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films.

The Role: Davis will be appearing alongside Richard E. Grant in the play that is put on within the show, and will actually be appearing as his wife (on stage, at least) as she's set to portray Cersei Lannister, and her character - like the one she's pretending to be - likes a drink (although it's rum, not wine, that she prefers). She's been described as an elegant actress with the troupe, and is said to be fun and charismatic.
