Game Of Thrones Season 6: 12 Things We Learnt From The New Images And Trailer
6. The Ironborn Are Coming
Welcome back, Balon Greyjoy! The King of the Iron Islands hasn't been seen since the Season 3 finale, but here he is, standing and looking pretty gloomy, although I'm not sure there's any other way for the Ironborn to look. This means that the Iron Islands are coming back into focus in Season 6, a year later than expected given its place in the books, but it does seem as though the Kingsmoot (or Queensmoot) is coming to the show, especially as the new images also give us a look at Yara in Season 6, while the casting of Euron Greyjoy has been confirmed as well. Of course, what that means is that Balon has been brought back for one reason: to be killed off. Hopefully that'll be in a similar manner to what we hear in the books, as he falls from a high bridge, with the theory being it was because of a Faceless Man hired by Euron.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
