15. Daenerys Shows Her Power
Daenerys' rise to power began in the Season 1 finale when she walked into a burning pyre and walked out unscathed with three dragons. In a scene that directly mirrors that pivotal moment, Daenerys walks out of a burning hut unscathed and with an army.
Daenerys' Mereen plotline seemed to be dragging its feet for quite a while, so when she was taken captive by the Dothraki, it was at least a welcome change of pace. But when she gathered all the khals together and burned them, her story finally picked up and it put her back on her quest for the Iron Throne.
It wasn't just that Daenerys walked away with an army of some of the most vicious warriors, but that she walked away with an army of believers. To the Dothraki, Daenerys was always just a foreign beggar queen, but after seeing what she was capable of, they are willing to abandon their previous life and follow her cause. It will be interesting to see what kind of reception she is given in Westeros.
