23. Why Was Osha Left Alive?
So I'm pretty certain the Game Of Thrones writers trolled us all when Smalljon Umber brought Rickon and Osha to Ramsay Bolton. It made absolutely no sense whatsoever that the fearsome Lord would kill Shaggydog - a defensive weapon designed to fiercely protect Rickon - and leave Osha - a defensive weapon designed to fiercely protect Rickon - alive. It was utterly ridiculous, so it clearly meant Umber had a plan to bring Ramsay down from the inside.
Except, he didn't at all. Apparently he kept Osha alive despite the fact that she served absolutely no purpose or held no value to Ramsay because he liked transporting difficult prisoners for the good of his health.
Obviously, Osha's survival meant Ramsay could kill her off and cement his evil, but this was coming off the back of him literally feeding his brother and step-mother to his dogs, so it was pretty redundant over-egging. It just made Smalljon look a fool.
