In a harsh twist of fate, it will be revealed that Arya Stark is actually MIA (presumed dead) and that the Arya currently travelling to away from Braavos is actually the Waif in disguise. Quite why she'd want to go to Winterfell remains to be seen, but we do know she's a master of disguise...

Evidence?

It comes down to the fact that nobody saw the Waif die on screen (even though her bloody head was presented as a trophy), and Arya's suspiciously good recovery from being stabbed a lot in the stomach.

It's reaching, but characters masquerading as other characters has happened before in the books, and while the Mance Rayder/Rattleshirt element was ignored this could be the opportunity to reveal something similar. Quite why anyone would write this, though, remains to be seen: all it does is advances a sub-plot that was already dead on it feet.
