It's something of a miracle that the young king is still alive, given his flirtation with danger and the Lannister curse hanging over his head, but he surely can't be long for this world.

Apparently, the finale sees him take his last breath, either as an accidental result of his mother's wrath (that would fit her curse) , or by his own hand. One suggestion says he kills himself (presumably either because Margaery dies before him, or Cersei's trial uncovers the fact that he is the product of incest?)
