Walder was one of the series' great secondary villains, a conniving, corrupt, evil, weasel-like figure who always felt like he'd been doled some great injustice. Well, justice has now been served.

The man who helped organise the Red Wedding was killed by one of the people it hurt the most, and in a fashion that called back to the way Catelyn Stark was so horrifically murdered. For Arya, it represented the culmination of her arc over the past couple of years, of finding her identity and returning home, and getting back to that kill list.

For fans, it was pure wish fulfilment, a glorious moment that we'd long wanted to see, and were expecting in Season 6 as soon as Walder came back on the scene. The Frey Pies, meanwhile, were the perfect side-dish. Sometimes it's good to get what you want.
