7. Brienne Wanders Aimlessly
On paper, the idea of Brienne's character is marvellous. She's a steely, guarded, introverted warrior, with no regard for her own safety, but would gladly give her life in the line of duty to whichever leader she's serving. The problem is, she's serving no-one right now.
She stood at Renly's side until he died, then she was whisked away by Catelyn Stark who also died. Her adventures with Jaime were handled superbly, but now her entire storyline is just meandering to nowhere despite the occasional massive moment. Brienne fought off the Hound, almost certainly killing him, while she also ended Stannis Baratheon's life and subsequent claim to the throne. But on the whole, her recent appearances have been seriously sub-par.
Gwendoline Christie is a brilliant actress, though in Season 5 she was essentially limited to looking out of a window, without expression. It's a waste of her and her character. Season 6 must give her a genuine purpose rather than another wild goose chase.
