7. Will Tyrion Get More To Do This Season?

In Season 6, Tyrion drank and he knew things. He also met a dragon and was granted the position of Hand of the Queen.

That's pretty much all he did.

So, will Tyrion finally get to have some more interesting storylines in the upcoming season?

Obviously this could change, but as of right now, all signs point to no. In both trailers, Tyrion was given very little to do outside of looking concerned on a cliff side.

Realistically, he might not have a large role to play. Tyrion is not going to be on the front lines of any battle. It looks like the imp will be reduced to a bit role in Daenerys' much grander plot.

There are a couple of instances where Tyrion could make an impact, however. He knows the Red Keep better than anyone else at Daenerys' side. He may even insist in joining the final charge into the city. Hopefully he will have a reunion with Cersei and/or Jaime before one or both of them dies.

There is also one character that has flown under the radar thus far, but may have a giant role to play in Season 7: Ellaria Sand. Tyrion is almost certainly going to find out that she murdered his niece Myrcella, a girl that he doted on. Could that throw a wrench in the works of Daenerys' grand alliance?

If it gives Tyrion something interesting to do in Season 7, we can only hope so.
