Game Of Thrones Season 7: 10 Major Predictions
6. Daenerys Suffers Some Big Losses Though
With that being said, it still won't be totally smooth sailing for Daenerys as she finally reaches Westeros. She has the military might, but then where's the fun and excitement in everything going her way?
To that end, while Dany will be the 'victor' as far as a battle with Cersei goes, we should still see her suffer a few huge losses. There's a good chance that we'll be bidding goodbye to Ellaria and the Sand Snakes this year, so the show can finally draw a line under one of its biggest missteps, and you have to worry about the Greyjoys too.
They aren't really personal losses though. As well as those, it feels like we could be saying a sad farewell to at least one of Grey Worm and Missandei. The pair are both truly good-natured and have formed a loving romance against the odds (and lack of, y'know), so it'd be very typical of Thrones to off at least one of them. Grey Worm especially will be plunged into some dangerous situations, so is very much at risk.
Then there's Jorah, who isn't with Dany as the season starts, but it's difficult to imagine them not having one last scene together (even if their previous goodbye was rather touching (a poor choice of words there...)). Dying of greyscale doesn't really fit with Jorah's story; instead, it seems more likely that he will somehow be cured of the disease and reunite with his Queen, and finally die in her presence to save her life.
Last, but not least, there's also Daenerys' dragons themselves to consider. Everything with the dragons has revolved around all three of them being alive - "the dragon has three heads" etc etc" - and while that may well still hold true and Season 8 will see three dragonriders take to the sky, there's also a chance to subvert expectations and kill one off, which would be one of the biggest deaths imaginable for the series.
