After protecting him from White Walkers and dragging his ungrateful ass back to Winterfell, Meera chose to return to her family and tearfully parted ways with a lifeless Bran.
What Does It Mean? There is a chance that this could be the final goodbye to Meera. With only six episodes left, there is not time to accommodate all of the secondary characters.
But the Reed family are loyal followers of House Stark, so when the long night comes and the North unites, we could see Meera again, along with her father Howland Reed.
Thus far, we have only seen Howland in the Tower of Joy flashback scenes with Bran, and that is why an appearance from him in the present day would be significant. Other than Ned Stark, he is the only person to have witnessed Jon Snow’s true heritage. His testimony could give weight to Bran’s claims as there is some scepticism about his visionary powers.
