10. Tyrion The Jester

This episode re-introduced Tyrion as a hysterically written character. Rather than mooning around Dragonstone waiting for something interesting to do, the Imp took his opportunity to shine with both hands, delivering some of the best lines of the season so far. Well, apart from literally everything the Hound said.

The writing across the episode was a high-point, but watching Tyrion once more embrace his self-deprecating spirit - perhaps because he felt comfortable in the company of an "old friend" - was a definite stand-out.

Sadly, his military advice is considerably less successful than his gags...
