2. King Robert Got One Thing Right

Robert Baratheon was, by even his own admission, a rather terrible King, but he knew a thing or two about battles. And one line he uttered back in Season 1 comes true this week, as the Dothraki attack the Lannisters.

"Let's say Viserys Targaryen lands with 40,000 Dothraki screamers at his back. We hole up in our castles. A wise move. Only a fool would meet the Dothraki in an open field."

Jaime Lannister didn't have much of a choice really, so it'd be harsh to say he's a fool, but there's no denying how incredible the Dothraki are to witness in action. Even without Drogon, the Lannisters wouldn't have had much of a chance.

It's not the only way that Field of Fire 2.0 evokes memories of Bobby B though, as the sight of Jaime Lannister riding towards Dany and Drogon in a last-gasp effort is like a war story he told Barristan Selmy:

"Mine was some Tarly boy at the battle of Summerhall. My horse took an arrow, so I was on foot, slogging through the mud. He came running at me, this dumb high-born lad, thinking he could end the rebellion with a single swing of his sword.”

And then there's Bronn's line about how men sh*t themselves when they die, which apparently isn't taught to noble lads. Robert Baratheon knew though, saying: "They never tell you how they all sh*t themselves. They don’t put that part in the songs."
