7. Are Beric And Tormund Alive?

When the Wall comes down, it's a heart-stopping moment not just because of what it means, but also because two fan favourites are stationed there. We see Tormund and Beric atop the Wall just before it comes down, and while they do run away, their fates are left up in the air.

It does look as though they make it to safety, reaching a part of the Wall not being brought down by Wightserion, but it's not made explicitly clear. The HBO recap says "Tormund and his wildings rush to safety," but that doesn't necessarily confirm whether they succeeded or not.

It's generally a good rule that if we don't see them die they're still alive, but until there's confirmation one way or another then we'll be worrying about them.
