1. The Wall Will Fall

In order for Winter to come, and for the temperature as far South as King's Landing to be affected enough for Cersei to wear furs, the reach of the white army has to come beyond The Wall. And unfortunately for everyone currently stationed at the Wall - like Beric and Tormund at Eastwatch and Dolorous Edd and the Night's Watch at Castle Black - it sounds like The Wall might fall entirely.

How that will happen remains to be seen, but we have had hints that the connection between Bran and the Night King will have destroyed the structure's magical protection, or that the acquisition of a dragon might have some part to play. Just imagine the image of Viserion burning the Wall down.

It's going to be a hell of a spectacle, and it would make a beautiful, ominous climax to the finale.
