Game Of Thrones Season 7 Finale: 7 Things You Might've Missed In 'The Dragon And The Wolf'

2. Book Jaime

Jaime Lannister of the show finally caught up with the Jaime Lannister of the books in the finale, turning away from his sister for good (or so it seems). It's been a long time coming, and has happened in a rather different way - he stays in the Riverlands rather than returning to King's Landing in the books, while we saw him make his return in the show last year - but there was one nice parallel.

When he's in the Riverlands he receives a letter from Cersei, begging him to return and fight for her in a trial by combat. When he reads the letter, a snowflake falls on it, and he then makes the decisive decision to have the letter burned. When he takes the definitive action of leaving her here, the first snow begins to fall on King's Landing.
