Game Of Thrones Season 7 Premiere: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Dragonstone'
8. Will Arya Make It To King's Landing?
Arya Stark made it back to Westeros last right, nicely timing it for a bloody and satisfying murder of Walder Frey (and baking a Frey pie to boot). This week's cold open continues that in service of the fans desire to see Arya kill everyone who wronged her, and her own lust to do the same.
After that, though, the question is - as it was after she returned last year - where will she go next?
There were two clear choices for Arya: home to Winterfell, or to King's Landing and a date with Cersei. Based on her scene with the Lannister soldiers, we now know she's chosen the latter, and is deadly serious about killing Cersei, no matter how much she laughs it off.
Will she make it there, though? It feels much more important for Arya to return home than it does her to try and kill Cersei (a task that surely belongs to Jaime anyway), especially with Bran going back to Winterfell too.
What the scene with the soldiers does, distracting cameos aside, is remind Arya of people's humanity and decency, which she herself possesses. Could that scene - and a potential reunion - spark a change of heart and, more pertinently, a change of direction?
