Game Of Thrones Season 7 Premiere: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Dragonstone'
7. How Do Arya's Faceless Men Skills Work?
Arya used her training from the Faceless Men to kill Walder Frey last year, but that was much more in keeping with what we'd seen her do already: she merely changed her face.
This time, however, she literally becomes David Bradley: his face, his hair, his height, his voice. That's a marked upgrade on what we've seen before from the Faceless Men. Previously it's generally just seemed like only the face has changed, but there's a lot more going on here.
We know that there is magic involved in the process, and it's not exactly pleasant either. It's more than just a glamour, with the assassin using their own blood as a tribute in order to truly become the person, but based on what we see here it works more like Polyjuice potion than anything else.
It's not a question the show is likely to answer anytime soon (it seems happy keeping things vague on that front), but it does open the door for more cameos. Arya could technically take on a number of dead characters, although they'd have to be recent enough that the face was preserved. So while others from the past might be off limits, it could open up the possibility of her becoming people who die this season.
