Game of Thrones has a lot of characters who blur the line between hero and villain, but few have had compelling arcs and such 180 turns as Theon Greyjoy and Jaime Lannister.

There's actually quite a bit to link the two: both come from noble houses, and yet have made decisions that diminished their standing; both have done terrible things to the Starks; both have lost a part of their body that defined who they were; both are played by actors who don't get enough credit for their performances; and both have superb redemption arcs.

As we enter Season 8, Theon is looking to seal his redemption was rescuing Yara from their uncle Euron. Jaime, meanwhile, has turned his back on Cersei to fight for the living, although he's almost certainly meet his sister again. They're two characters who represent the best of what Game of Thrones is about, and both deserve to be fully redeemed by the end of the show, with Theon saving Yara and Jaime, the Kingslayer, helping to save the realm again but this time getting the credit he's due. It'll likely mean both of them die too, but at that point it'd be well-earned.
