Game Of Thrones Season 8: 10 Things Fans HATED

2. Arya Forgetting Everything She's Learned

Arya Episode 5
HBO

Right next to Bran not using his established powers is Arya.

Even the death of the Night King comes from her... sprinting really fast and leaping like a gazelle? As oppose to anything relating to taking peoples' faces and pulling off a master plan. No, she gets inspiration from Melisandre repeating a line she once said in season 3, and that leads to the Night King being killed with a stab to the ice-kidneys.

You know what though? That's fine. It's fine enough anyway. You can argue Arya slinking through the crowd of White Walkers and Wights was precisely because she's a master assassin, but what about what comes next?

In the following episodes, Arya never mentions literally killing a walking representation of death, instead being moved into the background of episode 4. She then scarpers through the rubble during the burning of King's Landing and spends the finale confirming to Jon that Dany is very unhinged, only to "sail west" instead of helping her sister rule over Winterfell.

Minus killing the Night King, Arya is best remembered in season 8 for an out-of-nowhere sex scene with Gendry, and that's just sad.
