Game Of Thrones Season 8: 12 Things You Might've Missed In 'A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms'

1. The Valonqar

Tyrion Episode Two
HBO

While most of Maggy the Frog's book prophecy made it into the show, the one that didn't is rather crucial, as it pertains to her death:

"And when your tears have drowned you, the Valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."

While the show didn't include it, it has still formed the basis for most fan theories about Cersei's death, and the series does seemingly make a nod towards it here. When Tyrion makes an effort to defend Jaime, Daenerys says:

"Perhaps he trusts his little brother to defend him, right up to the moment he slits my throat."

Little brother (which is what Valonqar translates to). Throat. Could it just be a coincidence? Quite possibly, but a very fun one if so. However, it's also followed up later in the episode by Tyrion - who, in the books, Cersei believes is the Valonqar - talking about marching to King's Landing (albeit as a wight) and killing his sister, which suggests this was very much deliberate, even though it's unlikely Tyrion will be the one who kills her.
