Game Of Thrones Season 8: 7 Clues From Episode 5's Trailer
3. But Cersei Avoid The Front (Of Course)
One of the biggest differences between Cersei and Dany is their position relative to the front-lines. For all of the suggestions that she is not the same sort of threat as she was in the books (because we've not seen a great deal of her as the warrior Khaleesi), Dany is very much a War Queen. She is a conqueror and is far more like Robert Baratheon than her enemy here.
Cersei, meanwhile, will happily sit far away from the front, with thousands of King's Landing residents between her and the fighting as a means to protect herself (hoping that Dany won't kill them all to get to her). Crucially, this means Cersei is unlikely to actually die in the Last War, even if she loses.
More likely is the fact that someone gets close to her, which is precisely why she has The Mountain so close behind her (as the trailer makes a point of showing). That sets up an opportunity for The Hound and Arya to sneak their way in, and though it's unlikely either will kill Cersei, we should see a version of Cleganebowl that also includes Arya (probably striking the killing blow after Sandor falls).
