6. The Spoils Of War (And Burning The Dead)

Inevitably, the first episode is going to focus on the fallout from the battle at Winterfell and there are people to actually mourn this time out and not just cannon fodder we vaguely know, while Winterfell has to be rebuilt as well.

The trailer shows the survivors seemingly conducting a large memorial service for the fallen and burning their bodies on huge pyres outside Winterfell's walls. That is going to make a hell of a spectacle to balance out all of those accusations of war fetishising last episode.

The shot of Greyworm and the other torch bearers lighting the pyres also reinforces precisely how decimated Dany's forces are now. If that's all that's left, they're in for a torrid time against Cersei's army.
