With filming underway, it's good to know that all the scripts for Season 8 are already in the bag, as revealed by Bloys back in July. Thanks to the SXSW festival panel, meanwhile, we also know the lineup of writers for said scripts.

Dave Hill, whose previous credits include Sons of the Harpy, Home, and Eastwatch, is handling the Season 8 premiere, which will have to regroup after the Wall coming down. The second episode, meanwhile, goes to Bryan Cogman. He's the writer with the most credits to his name outside of the showrunners having penned 10 episodes so far, including greats Kissed By Fire and The Laws Of Gods and Men, and is also known as the keeper of the lore on set.

The final four episodes, then, go to David Benioff and D.B. Weiss themselves. That makes perfect sense, since they've steered this ship from the very beginning, and wrote most of the big instalments, such as The Rains of Castamere, Hardhome, and The Winds of Winter.
