Game Of Thrones Season 8 Breakdown: What 'The Long Night' REALLY Means
8. But Thar Be Dragons (And Main Characters)
In fact, pretty much the only ones left standing after the battle had ended were the principal cast, which was a handy coincidence. Most are bloodied and bruised but they survive to take their battle for the Seven Kingdoms elsewhere now (provided they all still think they have a dog in this fight, of course).
Crucially, Dany's dragons are still alive, which gives her a serious advantage over Cersei's army even without the sheer strength in numbers she can boast thanks to the Golden Company. And yes, both of them are still alive as they're both shown in the trailer for episode 4, despite it appearing that Rhaegal may have been killed.
Cersei is going to have to take them out of the game, frankly, because they could rain fire down on Harry Strickland and his golden boys and Dany would win fairly easily. So maybe still expect some dragon related tension before this story is through.
