Game Of Thrones Season 8: Every Character Still Alive For The Finale (And What They'll Do)

1. Tyrion Lannister

Last Time: Freed Jaime to go and help Cersei escape King's Landing (for some reason) and then watched in horror as Dany burnt the city anyway despite the bells of surrender ringing loud.

What He'll Be Doing: He's now going to be facing punishment for what he did as soon as Dany finds him and discovers that Jaime is not where she left him.

On top of that, he's going to have an even more crucial role: it will be Tyrion who tells Jon that he must turn on Dany to remove her. He's likely to use the fact that Dany will never let the Starks prosper while Jon remains a threat to her rule as his bargaining point.

Still, he'll probably end up on trial for what he did.

Live Or Die? Live, possibly.

According to some, there were two endings filmed for Game of Thrones, and both have different outcomes for Tyrion. What seems likely is that the theory that he dies after he's put on trial for his betrayal of Dany to free Jaime is very possible. It wouldn't be a nice ending for him, but it's what he's expected since he freed his brother.

More compelling is the idea that he will be arrested and set for trial, but he manages to convince Jon to turn on Dany and is freed before his inevitable death. Because you'd have to suspect that George RR Martin would insist on his favourite character being protected.
