Game Of Thrones Season 8: Every Death Ranked Worst To Best
7. The Hound
Sandor and Gregor Clegane's deaths are obviously very closely tied together, since they die in the exact same moment, but The Hound's ranks just higher because of what it represents to Arya's arc.
Immediately prior to his final moments, he reveals an almost paternal instinct towards Arya and sends her away, with the subtle implication that if she doesn't change course, she will end up just like him. He makes a sacrifice not just to kill his brother, but also to save Arya.
He might not have got in all that many good blows on his brother, though the knife to the eye was a haunting image, but Sandor's resistance of the double eye gouge that killed Oberyn Martell at least gave him a few extra badass points before he crashed himself and his brother into the fiery abyss.
