Game Of Thrones Season 8 Finale: Every Survivor's Ending Ranked Worst To Best

4. Jon Snow

Jon might have spent way too much time this season saying "she is my queen" and ignoring the fact that his beloved was turning into a literal dragon before his very eyes, but Jon came good in the end.

Choosing duty over love, Jon stabbed Dany in the heart, risking his own life in the process since Drogon was never likely to take it lightly and was then promptly thrown into chains. Presumably he didn't think that lying and saying Dany just flew off with Drogon was a viable option, but grief's a strange and terrible thing.

From there, Jon might have been forced to take the Black again, but the idea of the Night's Watch is a lot more fluid than it once was and Jon has basically been crowned the King Beyond The Wall for all intents and purposes. Since he has the "true North" in him, that's exactly as he would have desired too, especially since it means he gets to live with Tormund and Ghost.
