Game Of Thrones Season 8: Predicting The Fate Of Every Character

12. Sandor Clegane

Sandor Clegane may have briefly returned as a man of peace, but the murder of Brother Ray quickly changed that. He's a man with a fire burning inside him, and the only true hope for that to be extinguished and for him to find peace is with death.

He's one of the series' most morally complex and fascinating characters, but also one weary of the battles he's had to fight and the people he's had to fight them for. There are few people left he actually cares about, so while he'll fight for the living, it makes much more sense to let him die on the battlefield - after a final showdown with his brother, and perhaps after helping secure Arya's safety.
